Episode 15: Education: Gustavo Esteva and Christian Greer
On Tuesday, April 12, 2011, join your hosts, Kevin and Diego, for an episode focusing on alternative education. This episode includes interviews with Gustavo Esteva and Christian Greer, in addition to our weekly updates in anarchist news as well as anti-authoritarian music. Gustavo Esteva has worn many hats, from working in the Mexican government to advising the Zapatistas. He has opened schools in Mexico such as Universidad de la Tierra, and will discuss his experience in creating these alternative schools, and his ideas about education. Christian Greer is a co-founder of Corvid College in Cambridge, MA. This is an anarchic school with an eclectic mix of classes and no heirarchical structure, allowing teachers and students to explore whatever topics they deem worth exploring together, encouraging autonomy and creativity.
