Kelley discusses black transformational politics and the radical imagination with collective member Kehaulani Kauanui. He is the author of the prize-winning books including: Thelonious Monk: The Life and Times of an American Original; Hammer and Hoe: Alabama Communists During the Great Depression; Race Rebels: Culture Politics and the Black Working Class; and Yo’ Mama’s DisFunktional!: Fighting the Culture Wars in Urban America.
